Question 1

What is Watchpost?

Accepted Answer

Watchpost is a social media scheduler. You write a post once, adjust it for each platform, and Watchpost publishes it to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and Google Business Profile at the time you choose (X is coming later). It also brings each platform's numbers into one analytics view.

Question 2

Who is Watchpost for?

Accepted Answer

Small businesses, freelancers, creators and agencies who post to more than one platform: cafés and restaurants, shops and online sellers, clinics and tutors, and agencies running many client brands. It works wherever you are.

Question 3

Can I try Watchpost for free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every new account gets the full plan free for 30 days, with no card needed: publishing, analytics, your team and every feature. There is no free plan. After 30 days, publishing and analytics sync pause until you subscribe, and nothing is deleted.

Question 4

How long does it take to set up?

Accepted Answer

Most people finish the three onboarding steps in a few minutes: name your workspace, connect your first channel, schedule your first post. Connecting each platform takes a minute or two through that platform's own sign-in page.

Question 5

Do I need any technical skills?

Accepted Answer

No. If you can post on Facebook, you can use Watchpost. Every screen has one clear next step, and error messages say what to do in plain English.

Question 6

Does it work on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Watchpost runs in your browser and the composer and calendar are designed to work on a phone, so you can schedule from the train or the shop counter. There is no separate app to install.

Question 7

Which languages does Watchpost support?

Accepted Answer

The app is in English today. Our Privacy Policy is available in English and Bahasa Malaysia. You can of course write your posts in any language, including Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese and Tamil.

Question 8

Bolehkah saya menulis post dalam Bahasa Malaysia?

Accepted Answer

Dasar Privasi (BM)

Question 9

Does Watchpost work for businesses outside Malaysia?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Watchpost is made in Malaysia and sold worldwide. Set your own time zone, post to any audience in any language, and pay the same RM69 a month, billed in ringgit. Your card provider converts the amount if your card is in another currency.

Question 10

Is Watchpost a Hootsuite alternative?

Accepted Answer

For small teams that schedule and measure posts, yes. Watchpost is one flat RM69 a month for 5 team members and 10 accounts, where Hootsuite prices per user. Hootsuite also offers a social inbox and monitoring, which Watchpost does not, so pick the one that matches the work you do.

Question 11

Which platforms does Watchpost work with?

Accepted Answer

Facebook Pages, Instagram (Business and Creator accounts, with or without a Facebook Page), Threads, TikTok, YouTube (including Shorts) and Google Business Profile. X is coming later: it is built but switched off for now.

Question 12

Can every platform publish from Watchpost today?

Accepted Answer

Each platform reviews apps like Watchpost before they can post publicly for all users, and some limit what an app can do until that review is done. For example, TikTok keeps posts private and YouTube keeps uploads private until their audits are complete. We show each platform's status in the app, and we will not promise dates that the platforms have not given us.

Question 13

Can I use all of a platform's posting options?

Accepted Answer

Watchpost aims to support every option each platform allows apps to use: Reels and Stories, carousels, first comments, collaborators, TikTok privacy and disclosure labels, YouTube thumbnails and playlists, Google offers and more. If a platform does not allow something, such as TikTok comments, we say so instead of failing quietly.

Question 14

Can I change a post for one platform only?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every post starts as one global draft, and each selected channel gets its own tab. Change the text, media or settings in a tab and only that channel changes. A live preview shows how it will look.

Question 15

Can I connect several accounts on the same platform?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connect as many Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts, TikTok accounts and so on as your plan allows (10 connected accounts in total), each for a different brand or client, and group them into company folders.

Question 16

Can Watchpost also share my post as a Story or a Short?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For Facebook Pages and Instagram you can tick "Also share as Story". For YouTube you can add a vertical cut and tick "Also publish as Short". Each extra post gets its own status and link. Threads posts can also be shared to an Instagram Story.

Question 17

What happens if a post fails?

Accepted Answer

You get an in-app alert and an email with the platform's reason in plain language, plus a "Fix and retry" button that reopens the post on that channel. Temporary platform errors are retried automatically.

Question 18

What if a channel gets disconnected?

Accepted Answer

Platforms sometimes ask you to log in again, for example after a password change. Watchpost checks every connection regularly, emails you when one needs attention and holds that channel's posts instead of losing them. Reconnecting takes one click.

Question 19

Can I repeat a post or use posting slots?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Repeat a post every few days until a date you choose, and set preferred posting times per channel so new posts drop into the next free slot.

Question 20

Can I schedule TikTok posts automatically, or only as drafts?

Accepted Answer

Both. Watchpost can publish a TikTok video or photo post at the time you set, or send it to your TikTok inbox as a draft to finish in the app. Until TikTok completes its audit of Watchpost, directly published posts stay private.

Question 21

Can I schedule Instagram posts without a Facebook Page?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connect an Instagram Business or Creator account with Instagram's own login, no Facebook Page needed, and schedule photos, carousels, Reels and Stories. Connecting through Facebook instead adds product tags, paid partnership labels and licensed audio.

Instagram details

Question 22

Can I post to several Google Business Profile locations at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connect each verified outlet as its own channel, write the update, event or offer once and select every outlet. Change the address or opening hours per outlet in its own tab, and let the posts go out a few minutes apart.

Chains and franchises

Question 23

Can I schedule YouTube Shorts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload a vertical or square video of up to 3 minutes and YouTube treats it as a Short. You can also upload a long video with a vertical cut, and Watchpost publishes the cut as a separate Short with its own link.

YouTube details

Question 24

Does Watchpost support LinkedIn or Pinterest?

Accepted Answer

Not today. Watchpost publishes to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and Google Business Profile, with X coming later. If LinkedIn or Pinterest is central to your marketing, a tool that supports them will suit you better.

Question 25

How much does Watchpost cost?

Accepted Answer

RM69 a month for the whole workspace, SST included, after a 30-day free trial. One plan, billed monthly in ringgit, with no per-user or per-channel fees.

See pricing

Question 26

What happens when my free trial ends?

Accepted Answer

If you have not subscribed, publishing and analytics sync pause. Scheduled posts wait with a "Subscription required" badge, and posts whose time has passed are marked Missed with a one-click reschedule, so nothing is published late by surprise. Your posts, media, accounts and team stay where they are.

Question 27

Does RM69 include SST?

Accepted Answer

Yes. RM69 a month includes SST where applicable. Once we are SST-registered, your invoice shows the SST amount within the RM69.

Question 28

Is there a yearly plan?

Accepted Answer

No. Watchpost is monthly only, so you are never locked in.

Question 29

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

By debit or credit card, billed in ringgit. Watchpost never sees your full card number. The plan renews automatically each month, which needs a card, so bank transfers and e-wallets are not available for now.

Question 30

Can I cancel any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from the Billing page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current month is not refunded. You keep publishing until the end of the month you paid for, then publishing pauses and your posts, media and accounts stay in your workspace.

Question 31

Does each team member need to pay?

Accepted Answer

No. The workspace owner (or an admin they make billing manager) subscribes once, and everyone in the workspace works under that subscription.

Question 32

What roles are there?

Accepted Answer

Four. Owners manage everything including billing. Admins manage the team, approvals and settings. Editors connect channels, upload media and create and schedule posts. Viewers can see the calendar and analytics without changing anything.

Question 33

How do approvals work?

Accepted Answer

Turn on required approval for the workspace. When an editor schedules a post, it waits for an owner or admin, who can approve it or request changes with a comment. Approvers are notified in the app and by email, and a post cannot publish while it is waiting.

Question 34

How do I keep clients separate?

Accepted Answer

Put each client's channels in their own company folder. The calendar, composer, media library and analytics can all be filtered by folder, so you only see one brand at a time when you want to.

Question 35

What are Sets?

Accepted Answer

A Set is a saved starting point for a post: a group of channels plus optional text, media, tags, settings and preferred times, like "Café KL: Facebook + Instagram + TikTok, evenings". Pick a Set and everything is preselected.

Question 36

Can my client review a post without an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each post has a private preview link you can share. Your client sees the post and can leave comments, and your team is notified.

Question 37

What analytics does Watchpost show?

Accepted Answer

Followers and growth, views, reach where the platform provides it, engagement and engagement rate, top posts, posting frequency and failed posts, per workspace, per channel and per post. Every view works by hour, day, week or month, for any date range, compared with the previous period.

Question 38

How does Watchpost work out my best time to post?

Accepted Answer

It looks at how your own published posts performed by weekday and hour, adjusted for your follower count, and adds Instagram's audience activity data where available. Sample sizes are shown, so you know how much data is behind each suggestion.

Question 39

Can I export reports for clients?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Export any table or chart data to CSV, or open a printable report for a channel or the whole workspace and save it as PDF.

Question 40

Why are some numbers missing for some platforms?

Accepted Answer

Each platform shares different numbers. For example, TikTok's API gives totals per video but no audience breakdown, and Google no longer shares per-post numbers for Business Profile updates. Watchpost labels these "not available on this platform" instead of showing an empty chart.

Question 41

Does Watchpost see my social media passwords?

Accepted Answer

No. You connect each platform through its own official sign-in page. The platform gives Watchpost an access key for the permissions you approve, and we store that key encrypted.

Question 42

Can I turn on two-factor authentication?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every user can protect their account with an authenticator app, with recovery codes for emergencies. You can also see your active sessions and log out everywhere with one click.

Question 43

Is Watchpost PDPA compliant?

Accepted Answer

Watchpost is designed around Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, as amended in 2024, and the GDPR. Our Privacy Policy is published in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and you can export or delete your data yourself.

Privacy Policy

Question 44

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

In secured systems, with the database on a private network that is never exposed to the internet. Platform keys are encrypted at rest. The Privacy Policy and the sub-processor list explain where data is processed and which service providers help us run the service.

Security at Watchpost

Question 45

How do I export or delete my data?

Accepted Answer

From your account settings. An export gives you your data as JSON plus your uploaded media. Deleting your account starts a 14-day grace period, so you can change your mind, then your data is permanently deleted.

Data deletion instructions

Question 46

How do I get help?

Accepted Answer

Email support@watchpost.app. A real person replies on Malaysian working days, usually the same day, in English or Bahasa Malaysia.

Help and support

Question 47

Is Watchpost affiliated with Meta, TikTok, Google or X?

Accepted Answer

No. Watchpost works with these platforms through their official APIs and follows their developer rules, but it is an independent product, not endorsed by any of them.

Question 48

Who builds Watchpost?

Accepted Answer

A small, independent company based in Malaysia. Read our story on the About page.

About Watchpost

Question 49

What does "no limit on posts" really mean?

Accepted Answer

There is no post quota or "posts left" counter, and the price doesn't change with how much you post. The one exception will be X: once it is switched on, X's own per-post charges are added to your bill. A fair use rule only stops spam and abuse that could get our app restricted by the platforms for every customer, and each platform sets a few daily limits of its own.

How fair use works

Question 50

What happens if my posting looks unusual?

Accepted Answer

A person on our team takes a look first. Nothing is restricted automatically. If there is a real problem, we send a heads-up and nothing changes. Only if it carries on do we slow publishing down for a while (at most 14 days), and we pause publishing only for serious or repeated problems. You always get notice, the reason and a way to appeal. Serious abuse, such as scams, can skip steps.

What happens, step by step

Question 51

What happens if a platform's daily limit is reached?

Accepted Answer

Your post waits and goes out automatically when the platform allows it, and the calendar shows when it will go. For example, YouTube gives the app one daily upload allowance shared by all customers, which resets at midnight Pacific Time (3:00 pm or 4:00 pm in Malaysia). If a post still can't go out after 72 hours, we mark it Failed with the reason so you can pick a new time.

Each platform's limits

Question 52

Can I send the same post to several accounts?

Accepted Answer

The same post on one account per platform is normal, and it's what the composer is built for. Sending the same post to many accounts on the same platform within minutes, again and again, is not allowed, because platforms treat it as spam. For your own branches, change a detail for each one and let them go out a few minutes apart.
