Private until Google's audit
Until Google completes its audit of Watchpost, YouTube keeps every upload from the app private, whatever you choose. We will say clearly in the app when this changes.
Upload videos and Shorts with everything YouTube Studio asks for: title, tags, privacy, thumbnail, playlists and captions. Add a vertical cut and Watchpost publishes it as a Short too.
No card needed.
Availability: Public YouTube uploads depend on Google completing its audit of Watchpost. Until then, uploads stay private as described below.
Up to 12 hours long (15 minutes until your channel is phone-verified).
Vertical or square videos up to 3 minutes. YouTube makes them Shorts automatically.
Each option sits on the platform's own tab in the composer, so the other channels in the same post stay untouched.
Also publish as Short
Add a vertical cut of your video and Watchpost uploads it as a separate Short with its own link. If your main video already qualifies as a Short, it simply is one.
What YouTube allows apps like Watchpost to do, said plainly, so nothing surprises you after you schedule.

YouTube gives each app a daily upload allowance shared by all of its users. If it runs out, Watchpost waits and uploads after the reset at midnight US Pacific time (3 pm or 4 pm in Malaysia).
YouTube disables comments on made-for-kids, private and scheduled videos, so Watchpost skips the first comment there and tells you.
Custom thumbnails and videos over 15 minutes need a phone-verified channel. The video still uploads if the thumbnail is refused.
A Short must be vertical or square and 3 minutes or shorter. A 16:9 video can never be a Short.
